Artist Statement

As an interdisciplinary artist, my work reflects on terrains and domestic spaces that shelter and shape; it considers consumption and climate so as to recognize that we often only address global issues when they become personal. With an emphasis on ritual, collection, and preservation, my multimedia practice relies heavily on material and process-based experimentation. Often site-specific, I am interested in the relationship between identity and landscape, and the way that memories center on distinct geographies. Rituals reveal the evolution and accumulation of structures and behaviors over time. How are memories, foundations, and landscapes shaped and altered over time? How can we trust them?
